Chris bought this 77 bronco for $1,200.00 The body was completely rusted out. He decided it was worth the price even if it was just used for parts.

Because it was a 77 it had all the good stuff, like power steering, power brakes with discs and the best 9” rear end that ford sold in an early bronco.

Chris’s 1977 project.
After letting it sit awhile he came across a complete body in a local wrecking yard. Because it was a you pull it yourself type yard he was able to get the body for $100.00
After removing the wiring and steering system the body was removed. He found that the frame was in good shape other than three of the body bushing holes had to be repaired.
New fenders and a clean grill were installed on the new body. The framed was cleaned up and painted.
After putting on the new body, the wiring and new fuel and brake lines installed.
The first test runs were done with the stock springs and 31” tires.
Since getting it back on the road, he has added body lift, shock hoops up front with dual shocks and a roll cage.
And finally he was able to have it painted and add new bumpers. Next in line he plans to upgrade the tranny and add a winch.
